Hand Rendering
This was an early project the plans are not actually mine. This is more of a representation of layout, presentation, and hand rendering. The purpose of this project was to determine the best way to layout a board for presentation. We also had to then hand render each component with tech pens and use different rendering techniques (perspectives, hatching, ect.). Even though the plans are not mine I am still very proud of this project. It took me weeks to complete and considering this is a 42"x36" Crescent board I only had two mistakes with all of that ink.
Birmingham Art Center
This project was developed for the B.B.A.C. It was a theoretical project that was intended to be a multi-use facility located in the heart of Birmingham. The goal was to have an art center (BBAC), art supply store and loft apartments located in the building. I really like how this project developed. The building is separated into its different purposes. Each part functions independently and cohesively at the same time. I also like to incorporate the use of natural light as much as possible in projects and each room has windows based on the side of the building its located on and the purpose of the rooms.
Holocaust Memorial Comp.
This memorial was a project that was done for my Allied Studio. The Studio was Theory and Comp. this project was developed as a Holocaust Memorial to be located on the board walk in Atlantic City. The concept behind this project was the idea of compression and tension. I wanted the visitors to have a sense of the stress that was involved during the Holocaust. The idea is that as the visitors approached the memorial they would see these large hard, cold walls. They would have a limited view to the ocean side of the memorial giving a sense of mystery. As they journeyed through the memorial and discovered it they would travel through small spaces that would quickly release to the ocean side.
Also the wing walls that come out toward you have large, cold, jagged panels on them. These panels are based off of an extended line, these lines are generated from a map of the Holocaust concentration camps. Each camp is represented in the wall as a void in the wall. Each line represents the disorientation that the camp prisoners felt.
I like to think of this project as ordered chaos. The wall looks like chaos but really there is a lot of planning and structure in it. Also the Holocaust was a giant chaotic event for the victims but, it was very well ordered from the side of the enforcers.

New Lease on Life
So,
Since graduating in the spring I have been having a difficult time trying to market myself. This makes finding a job a very difficult task. I decided to try to aid in marketing myself this would be a helpful addition. I could create myself an online portfolio using the tools and the access this blog site can give people. It may be empty for a little bit while I finish preparing my work. I hope you enjoy what you see when its available to view it.
Thank You
